The AREX Express takes 43 minutes from Seoul Station to T1 and 51 minutes to T2. The regular commuter train stops at several stations and takes about 66–70 minutes. If time is tight, take the Express (fares are higher).

It works backwards from your flight time: travel time from your location to the airport, plus check-in and bag drop and security screening, added up stage by stage. For car trips from Seoul, travel time reflects time-of-day statistics (dawn, morning rush, midday, evening rush, night), so the recommended leave-home time can differ by departure hour even for the same flight.

Any ways to save time at the airport?

Checking in online cuts counter waiting, and if you have no checked bags you can head straight to security after self check-in. Registering for SmartPass speeds up identity checks. In peak season, however, security screening itself is the bottleneck — a generous time buffer is still the most reliable strategy.
